About the CFC

The Christian Family Center is a non-profit religious organization ministering to the addicted. Our mission is to provide a Christian environment for men seeking recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Our goal is to meet the physical and spiritual needs of men as we teach them Biblically based Recovery.

The Christian Family Center's New Life Program is a six month plus residential treatment program for those struggling with addiction. It is our belief that if a man is willing, God can restore him to spiritual well-being and free him from the bonds of addiction. We are not unique in that belief; most treatment programs around the world understand that without a spiritual awakening a man has little chance of remaining clean and almost no chance of being happy and productive.

We know that the 12 Steps commonly used in secular treatment programs come directly from the Bible and it is our belief that since the original text is available, we should use it. We want the men who come to our program to break free from the bonds of addiction and no one has ever devised a treatment to accomplish that better than God.

We are interdenominational and do not ask a man to accept any church's creed or dogma that would conflict with their own personal beliefs. However, we do require daily Bible study and chapel attendance. Our minister, along with ministers and lay persons from the surrounding community churches, lead our services. We believe that surrendering our will to God and allowing him to work in our life begins with daily worship.

Our primary focus is on a man's spiritual development; however, we recognize that often there are medical or psychological issues a man must address. For this reason, although we are not a medical facility, we provide transportation to medical or dental appointments. However, the individual student is responsible for any costs, including transportation. We accept dual-diagnosis students provided they are maintained on their medication and can function independently and harmoniously within our community.

We also believe every man should strive to be as self-sufficient as possible. For that reason, work therapy is a part of our program of recovery. Each man is expected to do his part to help maintain the facility.

We recognize that addiction involves the entire family and are committed to working with the families of our men to help them understand addiction and cope with the ramifications that substance abuse has on the addict, their family, and loved ones. We offer a Family Class for that very purpose every other Sunday after lunch.

Are you tired of your life being unmanageable? Admitting you have a problem is the first step in recovery. Are you ready and willing to take time from your life to make a change?

Testimonials

Don't just take our word for it.
Here is what others with first-hand experience have said.
The Christian Family Center | Student

Grant

Graduate

"I spent six months of my life here and now it feels like it was only a day. I met some amazing people and made some lifelong friends. I thank God for intervening in my life and saving me from the pits of hell. He gave me another chance and sent me to the CFC. My life was radically changed on these grounds. It works. 'If man is willing, God is able' no truer words!"

The Christian Family Center | Judge Gillis

Honorable Dwayne H. Gillis

Chief Judge, Waycross Judicial Circuit

"I have had the opportunity to use the Christian Family Center as an alternative sentencing option and in lieu of prison for several years now. I have also referred many families with loved ones who are suffering from addiction to the CFC. The staff of the Christian Family Center are humble in spirit and earnest in their unselfish effort to help those who are suffering from addiction... the Christian Family Center is the best program that I, as a judge, have to use as an alternative sentence or referral."

The Christian Family Center | Family Member

Bridgett

Family Member

"If you are seeking change in your life, and truly open to it, this is the best men's program around. This is God's work you can see right before your eyes. I got my father back through this program. I have also had many friends get their lives back and learn a lot from it. The staff are excellent and I would recommend every man struggling with addiction to this program."
